Connect your team to Stripe once. Add dues, spare fees or jersey fees, and your players pay by credit card from the app. BenchApp marks each fee paid the moment the payment goes through.

## Step 1: Connect your team to Stripe

Connect your team to Stripe, the payment company behind millions of online stores. It takes a few minutes: sign in or create a free account, and add the bank account you want paid into.

## Step 2: Add the fees your players owe

Add season dues, a spare fee, jersey money or a tournament entry. Give each fee an amount, a due date and a note, tie it to a game if you like, and send it to the whole roster or just a few players in one go.

## Step 3: Players pay by card

Players see what they owe in the app and on the web, with a Pay button next to each fee. They pay on Stripe's secure checkout page with Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Parents can pay for each of their kids from one account.

Card payments are marked paid automatically. The Finances page splits your team into Overdue, Upcoming and Recently Paid, and each fee shows what's been paid and what's left.

Open any fee to see what's due and what's been paid. Send a reminder, record a cash payment, or mark a fee delinquent to stop the reminders.

## Free for managers. Players cover a small fee.

Connecting Stripe costs your team nothing. By default a processing fee of 3.9% + 0.30, in your team's currency, is added on top of each card payment. So in US dollars, a $20 spare fee costs the player $21.08 and you receive the full $20.

Rather keep prices round? Turn on Cover Payment Fees and the fee comes out of the payment instead: the player pays $20 and you receive $18.92.

## Pay to play, with BenchApp PRO

## FAQ

- How much does it cost to accept payments? Nothing for the manager. There's no setup fee and no monthly fee. A processing fee of 3.9% + 0.30 per transaction, in your team's currency, is added to what the player pays, or you can turn on Cover Payment Fees and take it out of the payment instead.
- Where does the money go? Straight to the bank account on the Stripe account you connect. BenchApp never holds your team's money. You can see every payout and transaction in your Stripe dashboard.
- Do I need a Stripe account? Yes. When you choose Connect with Stripe, you sign in to your Stripe account or create one for free in a few minutes, then come straight back to BenchApp.
- Which cards can players use? Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Players pay on Stripe's secure checkout page, so their card details are never shared with you or stored by BenchApp.
- Can my players still pay cash or e-transfer? Yes. Record a cash, cheque, e-transfer, Venmo or PayPal payment on any fee and it counts toward what that player owes, right next to their card payments.
- Can other managers on my team see the money? Other managers can add fees and see who has paid. Only the person who connected Stripe can open the Stripe dashboard or disconnect it, and the app shows everyone whose bank account payments go to.
- Is collecting payments free? Yes. Connecting Stripe, adding fees, taking card payments and tracking who's paid are all included in BenchApp for free. Pay to play (Pre Pay Required) and automatic spare fee tracking need BenchApp PRO.
- Can leagues collect registration fees? Yes. Leagues connect Stripe the same way, and players pay their league registration fee by card as they sign up.
